The solution is this neat plastic board that sits flat on your worktop and forms a corner to hold the bread secure. This leaves you free to use a knife for spreading or cutting.

The wipe-clean white plastic board has non-slip feet on the base and a downward curved lip that hooks onto the worktop, so there's no need for fixings and it’s easy to move when not in use.
